I need this. It would make me happy. =)
A little wisdom from Stan:
"[Stan brings home a baby to replace Hayley when she moves out]
Roger the Alien: Is that a Chinese baby?
Stanley Smith: Sure is! Japanese, to be specific. "
Everytime I see his new commercials or videos on his website I am reminded why I have wanted him to be President for more than 8 years. He is such an amazing person.
Everyone has the right to an opinion. Okay.
"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, G-d damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme." - Rev. Wright
Seriously? I mean, really?
The government doesn't create addicts, people are in control of their own choices in life. We had to build bigger prisons because people continue to commit violent crimes and prison is the sentence the justice system deals out. Stop committing crime and the prisons will not grow. Now - my favorite part - the reverend to someone who feels they should be allowed to serve as my President dares to utter the words (above)... I am not going to type them. If you don't like America - get out. Please.
Obama claims he was not aware of these comments. How is it even possible that you do not ever even hear about these remarks being made? Even if he was not physically there to hear these things, if the comments were so out of character wouldn't he have heard about them from talking to his many friends and supporters who attend this church who would have been shocked? Yah. Liar.
"Hillary ain't never been called a nigger." - Rev. Wright
Yes, you are probably correct on that one. She is white. But I am sure you knew that.
People use the word, "hero" often. I think a hero is not a person who goes to war out of obligation, but a person who goes to war and provides people with a leader and/or a sense of hope. A person they can look to in times of doubt. A person they eagerly await to follow. Someone they trust with their lives because he has proved himself. He walks in front of his men in battle and steps on the ground before them only to step off the war field after all of his men have left. A leader is heroic if he truly leads. In the case of Major Winters, he is a hero because he did all of these things and also gave hope and compassion to his men.
"I cherish the memory of something my grandson said to me the other day. He asked me, 'Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?' Grandpa said, 'No, but I served in a company of heroes.'"
-Major Winters quoting a letter sent to to him by one of his men.
I can not qualify this statement 100% as of right now (I am at 75% currently), but I should be able to by the end of the week.
I watch FOX news in the background of my daily activities: while writing, working out, knitting, whatever. I like being informed and enjoy the guests and commentary from their witty staff. Today they had Dr. Laura on Hannity and Colmes to discuss the hypocrisy that is Ex-Governor Spitzer (Democrat – NY-Pledged Super Delegate to Hillary Socialist Clinton). I have heard her a few times and did not really have an opinion on her one way or another. She provides therapy and really decent advice to people who seek her out and I respect that.
So, Hannity is talking to Dr. Laura about men cheating and the reasons they cheat. Dr. Laura drops this: Men cheat for two reasons: either they are jerks/bipolar/issues or because they have wives who do not properly “feed” their husbands.
I love her.
I have been saying this for YEARS and have gotten countless people who think that statement is not true. Bull. It is SO true.
I’ll explain: As a woman, I have needs. I like knowing my husband finds me attractive, I like how he takes care of home stuff, I like being loved and feeling protected. I love that my husband provides me with those things. He’s a total rock! If I need anything, he’s there to help me. I have a great man.
Now, men have needs too. Dr. Laura points out that men’s needs, no matter how you want to look at it, probably fall into a few categories. Men want food, nurturing, a good mother for their children, and physical intimacy. You like it so much when your husband meets your needs, well newsflash: he has needs as well!
She goes into more depth talking about how part of loving something is wanting it to be happy (sometimes you may not want to do something, but he does so maybe you should, etc). It makes sense. It is totally logical. I mean – really!? You need to give to get and you can not have a successful marriage if you are a selfish witch! It makes sense!
I just wanted to share that. I thought it was funny and ironic and I am now a slight fan of Dr. Laura because she tells people things that despite the fact that they seem logical and obvious, so many people screw this point up that her pointing it out makes me smile. She did it on FOX with Hannity, so I went from happy at the comment to liking her for that fact.
I am a Republican. Deal.
